A driver hit four pedestrians walking near Times Square, backing up Estero Boulevard for miles in both directions, deputies say.
The driver, 23, struck the pedestrians after hopping a curb.
The victims, four teenagers, were taken to the local hospitals. Their names have not been released.
One teen was flown to Lee Hospital after suffering burns. According to officials she got dragged for a little ways under the vehicle. Two pedestrians were taken by ambulance to Lee Memorial, where they were treated and released. And a third was taken to Health Park outpatient center.
The driver of the vehicle is facing driving under the influence and reckless driving charges. The investigation is ongoing.
